Privacy
SimpleInvoice keeps your invoice in your browser. This page explains exactly what that means.
What the app stores, and where
Your invoice, clients, editor preferences and uploaded logo are written to your browser's localStorage under a single key. They stay on the device where you created them. Nothing about the content of an invoice is sent to us or to anyone else.
There is no account, so there is no name, email address or password to collect. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain deletes everything the app has stored — export the invoice JSON first if you want to keep a portable copy.
Hosting and server logs
The site is a set of static files. As with any website, the hosting provider serving those files may record ordinary request data — IP address, user agent, the path requested and a timestamp — for security and operations. That log is about the request, not about your invoices.
Fonts are served from this domain, so loading a page does not call a third-party font service. The only first-party cookie the app sets remembers the language you chose for the site.
Site analytics
On the published site a Statable script records page views, referrer, device type and a few named actions — opening the editor, picking a template, exporting a PDF, copying a share link. It does not receive invoice contents, names, emails, amounts or uploaded logos. Query strings on /generate (used to pre-fill an invoice) are stripped before a page view is sent.
There are no advertising scripts. Statable may store a first-party visitor id in this browser. To opt out here, run localStorage.setItem('analytics_ignore', 'true') in the developer console on this site.
What you can do
Because the data lives on your device, these controls are the whole story: there is no separate copy for us to delete on request.
- Export the invoice as JSON at any time from the Export menu, then keep or move that file like any other document.
- Replace or clear the current document in the editor when you want to start over.
- Clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the app's storage entirely.
